Name: Trinity Cassandra Dyne

Age : 51

Gender: Female

Blood Status: Pureblood. Matriarch of the Dyne Family

Wand: 12” Unyielding Cherrywood Thunderbird Pinion

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw

Position at Hogwarts: Transfiguration Professor

Appearance: Tall and willowy and absolutely gorgeous for her age, Trinity Dyne, as with all alchemists appears to have aged gracefully. Not a single strand of her brilliantly red hair has gone gray nor do there seem to be any real signs of age on her in the slightest.

Personality: The Matiarch of the Dyne family can be anywhere from stern and serious, to light hearted and playful given the situation. She does not, however, tolerate any kind of stupidity and abhors words like “I can’t” and “this is too hard.” Any one attending her classes will find her to be a tough but fair professor. Any and all punishments given will fit their crimes.

History: The Dyne family, as previously described is ancient. And with Trinity, it seemed as though it’s legacy would have ended as she was the first and somehow only female child to be born into the line. However, this did not stop her father- the late and celebrated Sylvain Aurelius Dyne, from raising her in the same fashion that his father had raised him. Unlike other Dynes and unlike her grandson, Aelius, Trinity is yet another rarity in her family’s long and storied history.

Any elementalist has some small inability to control their power. Accidents can happen without proper vigilance or if focus is lost. In the case of Trinity Dyne, her focus is close enough to perfect. There is little concentration required for her to control her abilities and just being in her presence calms the elements of other family members or the elements themselves in some situations. Combined with her immense intelligence, this lead to the young Dyne Daughter performing exceptionally well at Hogwarts and in her further studies once her time in the wizarding school was concluded.

Shortly after her graduation, she married her Hogwarts sweetheart- a Hufflepuff Alumnus and fellow elementalist Siago Thripp. It what seemed unprecedented at the time, her husband took her name rather than pass on his own, thus ensuring the Dyne bloodline carried on.

In her life after Hogwarts, as with all in her family, the redhead took up a position with ministry, working in the department of Mysteries and focusing much of her work on the study of the world’s elemental magic and how to ensure it wasn’t discovered or exploited by muggles. Or, in the cases of natural disasters, investigating to make sure no tsunamis or earthquakes were cause by illegal use of magic. So thorough was she in her work and so well liked by the Ministry, it came to no surprise that she eventually became head of the department and stayed so until fairly recently.

Currently, matters within the family have forced her to retire. Her grandson, to be precise. Though few outside of the family know how unstable his grasp on his powers are, it was thought best with the death of his mother that the Trinity the Perfect Focus be on hand in case the boy fell to pieces. So, it was arranged that Trinity’s son, Nemo, would take up her old position with the ministry and that she would, instead, spend her retirement looking after her grandson while under the pretext that she was simply there to pass on her knowledge of transfiguring objects.

Special Skills/Talents: As with Ael, one can be assured that her talent for elemental magic won’t go off the deep end or result in the castle burning to the ground. In addition to wandless elemental magic, Trinity has exceptional talent in the field of Transfigurations and her hobby is baking.
